Rinox Plans 3rd Plant, to Expand Network
Architectural hardware exporter Rinox Kaufmann Ltd is expanding its presence in India to cater to the domestic market. The company, which supplies a range of SS door and glass hardware solutions, is setting up its 3rd facility, and is appointing distributors and dealers. Currently the company has export markets in USA and Europe.
The new facility, according to the company’s MD Anand Gupta (anand@rinox.in), will be a state-of-the-art set up with German technology. “We will have CNCs and other latest machinery. It will take up approximately 1,00,000sft of space with an investment of `20 crore, and will be completed over two phases. The first phase will be completed within 2012.”
Rinox’s first plant is located in Udyog Nagar, New Delhi and the second is in Ludhiana, Punjab. Our plants have been operational since 2003 and together employ 400 people. “Though Rinox also sources its products globally, we are now interested in expanding our base in India. The reason for this plant is growing demand both for domestic and export markets, and we already have orders in the pipeline which can be shipped from this new facility.”
Rinox is a part of the US$ 50-million ACL Group, and is an OEM supplier to some of the world’s leading hardware brands including Bing GBS GmbH, Germany. According to Gupta, the company has several international certifications to its credit, such as TUV, CE, CNAS, UL, EN1154 and IAF. The company’s products have been used in many prestigious projects including the Airports in Bangkok and Torontot, Hospital Medica Sur Mexico and others.
“We are entering the Indian market with core products which are volume drivers. Gradually we will be introducing our full range of innovative products. We are also investing heavily in our brand and are exhibiting in exhibitions across the country to bring forth the same German quality products to India that are concurrently sold in Europe and USA.”
Rinox’s products are currently being sold through the retail channel. While the company has dealers in UP, NCR, Maharashtra, Bengaluru and Andhra Pradesh, the latest was appointed in Jammu recently and new ones will be appointed in unrepresented areas. By end of 2012, the company aims to have a network of 250 dealers and distributors.
“We will cover the major metros first, where the bulk of construction is happening. Goa and Pune are thrust areas for us for similar reasons. We will also concentrate on tier II towns, which are witnessing a burst of construction activity,” avers Gupta. The company has a team of installers which works closely with dealers to provide installation and after-sales support. “We are confident of reaching a turnover of `100 crore for our architectural range by 2014,” he reveals.
