Cipla Forays into SS Bath Accessories

Delhi-based bathroom accessories manufacturer Cipla, which specialises in plastic-based products, has recently forayed into stainless steel. The company has developed a range of products in SS and has already started its test marketing.

While talking about this new development, the company’s director Vishal Khanna (info@cipla.com) informs, “Currently, at our factory we have a capacity to produce 20,000 items every month. Seeing the increasing demand for bathroom accessories in stainless steel, we have decided to offer our business partners this new range as well. However, it is a very new development for us and we have as yet supplied sample pieces to our existing dealers to gauge their response.” The company is manufacturing close to 2,000 different products at its Patpar Ganj unit in Delhi.

Cipla presently has 48 distributors, most of them in Mumbai and in south India. However, the company wants to form a new network for marketing the stainless steel products. “We would want to market this new range through premium dealers, as stainless steel is still considered a premium product as far as bathroom accessories are concerned.” Therefore, the company is on a look out for channel partners all over the country who have been into this business for some time and deal in premium brands. It is offering bathroom accessories including bathing stools, glass shelves, soap dishes, cabinets, traps, corners and bath shelves, apart from a few other products like ironing boards, cloth dryers, ladders, photo frames and general novelties.
