Creating Clarity in Space
This French company is changing the way organisations function with its acclaimed range of modular partitions
Financial reward, environmental factors and increased productivity are driving organisations to embrace glass partitions in their work spaces. Offices are minimising their dependency on artificial light during the day by installing glass partitions, which ensure maximum natural light indoors. This has resulted in significantly curtailed operating costs, in addition to reduced carbon footprint and increased energy-efficiency. Many humanresource experts are of the view that glass partitions have a far reaching affect on organisational behaviour, as they smoothen inter personal communication among employees, thereby boosting their motivation and productivity.
Points out M Saif Khan Yusufzai (saif@hoyez.com), director-sales & marketing of Hoyez India Modular Office Systems Pvt Ltd (HIMOSPL), a subsidiary of the French glass partition manufacturer Hoyez, “Solid walls and closed doors impinge the transparencyfactor, and create suspicion amongst staff. Corporates and other enterprises have begun to delve upon this angle too while considering glass partitions for their commercial space.”
Stating the unique selling points of glass partitions, he adds, “Glass partitions are ideal for meeting rooms as one can see if the room is occupied or not, which saves an awful lot of knockingand interrupting. The partitions are easy to install, and can be reused as many times as necessary with changes in layout. They also add aesthetic value to the interiors by their design and quality. Besides, they offer good branding locations as they can be embellished with company logo and other designs.”
Attracted by the growing market for modern interiors in India, HIMOSPL has started building a dealership base across the country. The company also showcased its impressive range of partitions at Building ConstructionTechnology Expo 2011 in New Delhi, and drew significant inquiries. “Weparticipated in the expo to network with those clients who are involved in interior fit-out work, and have the required infrastructure like warehousing space, sales and technical teams, and skilled workers. Our company was able to generateinterest among interior designers and dealers at the show, and we are hopeful of taking this forward in to the next level,” says Yusufzai.
Hoyez began its Indian operations in March this year by setting up a subsidiary company in Mumbai, and warehouse in Thane, Maharashtra. “We want to appoint one dealer each in Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kerala and Mumbai-Pune regions for our modular partitions by 2011-12 fiscal.”
The parent company was established in the French city of Avelin in 1953. “Every year, 6,50,000 sqm of the company’s partitions are installed, and the company has become one of the majors in fixtures and fittings in Europe. We are confident that the Indian customer will soon experience Hoyez’s top-of-the-line products.”
Hoyez plans to bring in its H5, H7, H9, H2B, HF10, Transparence, Hanging, and Ligne M Screen ranges of partitions. All of these are relocatable, flexible and modular. They are interchangeable with solid, glass, and door panels, and offer 41-47 Db RW sound insulation and fire resistance. “Further, the products are CERFF-certified, thus attesting to a minimum level of performance of a partition model on movability, shock resistance, rigidity, stability and durability, and sound insulation parameters. This makes our products idealfor all kind of work space fitting requirements, including airports, hospitals, banks, corporate offices and educational institutions.”
Yusufzai elucidates about the performance of the product portfolio. The H5 partition can be installed and dismantled without modifying the framework by using special tools, andwithout causing damage to adjacent parts. Its thickness is 60mm, with standard modulation of 1200mm, which makes it possible to incorporate panels from 4mm to 53mm.
The H7 aluminium framework partition offers freedom, simplicity and aesthetics for workspace fittings. With standard modulation of 1200mm and partition thickness of 75mm, itcomes in coated or brushed anodised finish. H9 partition gives high performance in sound insulation. It is available in 96mm thickness and standard modulation of 1200mm.
HF10 is an aluminium fire-rated partition with 50mm wide vertical and horizontal cover-trims. Transparence is a full height frameless glass partition, with no post betweenthe glazing. It is available in different profiles for 2D and 3D angles. Available in standard widths of 800, 1,000 and 1,200mm, Ligne M is a classic, trendy, acoustic or made-to-measure range of screen partitions.
Hoyez panels are already being used in many prestigiousprojects, informs Yusufzai, including Nokia-Siemens in Mumbai and Noida, and will soon be visible in the JSW headquarters in Mumbai. “We are helpingarchitects and interior fit-out companiesin defining specifications for their projects. They can acquire a licensefrom us and download the CONFIGURA software from our website www.hoyez.com, which enables them tovisualise a project by presenting a 3D perspective, layout plan and price elaboration. Besides, we provide product and installation training to our partners from time to time so that they can attend to the needs of our customers.”
